lose可以及物，也可以不及物，也可以被动式。

lose的及物用法：

lose the game 输掉比赛
lose the final 输掉决赛
lose the battle 输掉战斗
lose the war 输掉战争

lose the bet 输掉赌注
lose the argument 输掉争论

lose不及物也完全可以：

we kept fighting but we still lost in the end 我们顽强拼搏，但最后还是输了
have nothing to lose 赤脚的不怕穿鞋的
you lose 你输了（玩过格斗游戏的，对电脑吐出的这句话多少都耳熟能详吧）

lose也可以用被动式：
