这两天把王尔德的戏剧《莎乐美》看完，整理了一下原著中自己喜欢的一些句子，摘录下来，与众位分享。
为了方便大家理解原文，觉得还是需要简单介绍一下故事梗概。
其实，就是一个很简单的故事：朱迪亚的公主莎乐美爱上先知约翰,然而约翰并不爱莎乐美，在表达爱意遭拒后，莎乐美用了极端的方式得到爱人——杀死所爱之人，取下他的头颅，并且亲吻了他。
唉，这位公主的爱情观着实吓我一跳，爱而不得而已，何必痛下杀手？这大概就是所谓的，我得不到的，谁也别想得到！
不过戏剧之所以称之为戏剧，故事里终归是需要这样的跌宕来成全。想想最近红遍大江南北的《三生三世十里桃花》，里面两个反派角色——玄女和素锦，不也是因为爱而不得才生出这许多的事端么？哪怕是在当今这法治社会，各类情杀案件也屡见不鲜。所以说，爱情这东西呢，要钻了牛角尖，还真是可以到丧失理智的地步。以同理心去体会一下，恐怕这些姑娘的所作所为也还是有那么一丢丢能被理解的，但并不代表可以被原谅哦，毕竟，姑父还是必须和姑姑在一起的。
不扯废话了，来欣赏王尔德优美的语言才是正事啊。
Iokanaan Back! Daughter of Babylon! By woman came evil into the world. Speak not to me. I will not listen to thee. I listen but to the voice of the Lord God.
Iokanaan Behold the day is at hand, the day of the Lord, and I hear upon the mountains the feet of Him who shall be the Saviour of the world.
看到这两句话，是否已看到了一个虔诚且不近女色的圣徒？被心爱之人这样呵斥与嫌弃，想必莎乐美心里也挺难受的。杀伤力等同夜华王之傲视素锦并且后退半步的动作，那是真心嫌弃啊。
God is at no time hidden. He showeth Himself at all times and in all places. God is in what is evil even as He is in what is good.
No man can tell how God worketh. His ways are very dark. It may be that the things which we call evil are good, and that the things which we call good are evil. There is no knowledge of anything. We can but bow our heads to His will, for God is very strong. He breaketh in pieces the strong together with the weak, for he regardeth not any man.
这是两个犹太人关于上帝的讨论，我觉得有意思的观点是“上帝就存在于邪恶的事物之中，就像他存在于美好的事物当中一样”，“情况可能是这样的，我们称作邪恶的实际上是美好的，而我们称作美好的实际上则是邪恶的”。这两句话很辨证，耐人寻味。就好像那一句，其实“真理是掌握在少数人的手里”，那些普世的标准，那些你认为对的，也许恰恰是错的。尤其当谈到人性，没有绝对的非黑即白，现在的我们，似乎更应该培养一种对不同价值观的包容态度。
The moon has a strange look tonight. Has she not a strange look? She is like a mad woman who is seeking everywhere for lovers. She is naked too. She is quite naked. The clouds are seeking to clothe her nakedness, but she will not let them. She shows herself naked in the sky. She reels through the clouds like a drunken woman.
个人很喜欢这段关于月亮的描写，多么巧妙地影射啊！在我看来，这段描写一是渲染了当晚的气氛，一种充满爱欲的氛围，直接，却并不色情，你甚至觉得美。二是，这仿佛便是在影射莎乐美，外表端庄美丽的公主，然而今夜的她，仿佛喝醉了酒的疯女人，渴望着那爱而不得的人。
She has a strange look. She is like a little princess who wears a yellow veil, and whose feet are of sliver. She is like a princess who has little white doves for feet. One might fancy she was dancing.
She is like a dove that has strayed…She is like a narcissus trembling in the wind…She is like a silver flower.
Ah, thou art to dance with naked feet! ‘Tis well! ‘Tis well! Thy little feet will be like white doves. They will be like little white flowers that dance upon the trees…
第一段话仍然是描写月亮，从这句就已经可以很明显看出王尔德将这月亮比作朱迪亚的公主——莎乐美。但其实这三句我想说的是，关于“dove”这个意象，原著中有好几处将莎乐美比作鸽子，尤其描写到她的双脚时，所以，兔老师敲黑板了，以后你们若是要用英文来夸美人的脚呀，不妨用用这个比喻，必然会显得你有内涵多了，够你显摆的了。
And thy tongue,that was like a red snake darting poison, it moves no more, it speaks no words,Iokanaan, that scarlet viper that spat its venom upon me. It is strange, is itnot? How is it that the red viper stirs no longer?...
这是莎乐美取下约翰的脑袋后对他说的话，尤其最后一句，你能感到她的得意：约翰啊，你不是骂我骂的挺欢的吗？这会儿，你那像毒蛇一般的舌头怎么不动了呢？
提醒一下各位男士，伤了一个爱你的女人，你的下场，会很惨的......
I am athirst for thy beauty; I am hungry for thy body; and neither wine nor apples can appease my desire. What shall I do now, Iokanaan? Neither the floods nor the great waters can quench my passion. I was a princess, and thou didst scorn me. I was a virgin, and thou didst take my virginity from me. I was chaste, and thou didst fill my veins with fire…
个人以为，莎乐美这一番情话讲得还是蛮动听的，至少比之前她见到约翰夸他的身体、头发、声音要动情，虽然已是嗅到满满的欲望，但委实动情。可惜，人都死了，讲这些情话有什么用呢？横竖他再也听不见了，只让人觉得这个女人可悲又变态。
最后，借用原著经典之句作结，the mystery of Love is greater than the mystery of Death.这世间，能参透爱情之玄妙者，大抵也寥寥无几。
