For purposes of understanding some of the issues related to after-class readings (e.g., attitude towards and time spent on after-class reading, etc.) among middle and high school students, students in our grade conducted a survey among 1,650 students from 23 classes in our school. The study yielded the following findings. First, with regard to the attitude towards reading, 75% of the study subjects considered that after-class reading was important and irreplaceable. Second, 76% reported that they spent at least one hour doing after-class readings each day. Third, 78% indicated that they wanted to do after-class reading, but could not afford the time due to an overload of homework. Finally, it is interesting to note that leisure and entertainment magazines are the top two most favored among the study subjects for after-class readings. The results of the study highlight the importance of after-class reading among middle/high school students and the need for the school authorities to recognize the students' wishes for having time to do after-class readings.本回答被网友采纳
