rise和raise都有move upward抬起，向上的一个意思。所以很多人会搞混淆。
其实它们最大的区别之一是结构：
raise的结构是： S + V + O （主+谓+宾）
I raise my hand.我举手。
He raises his voice.他提高了声音。
rise的结构是： S + V （主+谓）
I rose from the chair.我从凳子上站起来。
The sun rises.太阳升起。
现在我来讲讲这两个单词比较常见的用法。
当表示提高的时候，rise和raise都可以表示：
The store is raising its prices.这个商店正在提高价格。
The prices in the store are rising.这个商店里的价格正在提高。
The sound of her voice rose.她提高了声音。
She raised her voice.她提高了声音。
当表示重生的时候，rise和raise都可以表示：
Christians believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead.基督徒坚信耶稣又活了。
He claimed that he could raise people from the dead.他表示他可以让人起死回生。
rise常见的用法
1. 形容路面、山抬起
The land rises as you move away from the coast.当你从海边内陆走，地面会抬高。
2. 地位、权利的抬高
Empires rise and fall.帝国兴衰。
3. 蛋糕、面包等发大
Yeast will make the dough rise.酵母可以让面团发大。
4. 起床
Rise and shine!起床咯！
raise 常见的用法
1. 抚养孩子
We have raised two wonderful girls.我们养了两个非常好的女儿。
2. 筹钱
The students are raising money for their school.学生正在为他们的学校筹钱。
3. 提高意识
The ad campaign is intended to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy diet.这个广告旨在提高健康饮食的重要性。
4. 提及人或事
The issue of money was never raised.钱的问题从未被提及。
