关于“下午你在做什么？”的英文翻译，哪个更适合？

谢谢大家，这个语境是大家闲聊，随便问一下“下午你在做什么”。第一句是课本例句，第二句是翻译用语。哪个更好呢？

这要看你什么时候问，若就在下午问，把第二句里的in the afternoon改成now就行了。若是在之后问，一般会用what were you doing in the afternoon.你的第一句的意思是“你一般(通常)下午都做啥？”

A:第二句语法没有错；第二句多合适一点。分析：句一，语气比较生硬刻薄，且what do you do还有寻问职业的意思（多是警察拷问那种情况）；句二，用得比较多，进行时表将来，（想做…）。另外，还有what would you like to do in the afternoon/what do you want to do…都能比较好表达你的意思。

1： what will you do this afternoon ?/ What are you going to do in the afternoon 下午你打算干吗？ （将来时态）
2：what did you do in the afternoon? 下午你干嘛了？（过去式）
