root：把所有的词缀都去掉后剩下的部分 如：friend （friendships）。

stem：把屈折词缀（英语中只有八个–’s, noun-s, verb-s, -ing,-ed,-en, -est,-er（比较级））去掉剩下的部分 如：friendship（friendships）。

base：只要能在上面添加一个词缀的成分，都是base 如： friend和nation（international）。

Base基础：

Base，英语单词，名词、形容词、及物动词，作名词时意为“基础；底部；垒”。作形容词时意为“卑鄙的；低劣的”。作及物动词时意为“以…作基础”。

Base双语例句：

You should base your judgment on the evidence.

你应该在证据的基础上做出判决。

If I lose the tribes, I lose that as base of power, he said.
