各种Other的用法（跟名词复数或单数）

跟名词复数，如：other，people，other，apples。

other可作形容词或代词，做形容词时，意思是“别的，其他”，泛指“其他的（人或物）”。后跟名词可数复数或不可数名词。

other后只加可数名词复数，同theother，another加数量加可数名词的复数。other是两者中的另一个，有the就有范围，theother和other意思一样，another是任意的另一个。

当单数名词结尾

为se，ze，ge，ce时（其词尾辅音为/s，z，ʃ，ʒ/等），加s后读作/iz/

当单数名词结尾为s，z，x，sh，软音ch时（其词尾辅音为/s，z，ʃ，ʒ/等）加-es（读/iz/），如：box-boxes，peach-peaches。（o有时也是，但es读音为/z/如hero-heroes）例外：stomach-stomachs（因ch读作/k/）

不规则变化，如：ox-oxen，child-children，man-men，mouse-mice，louse-lice

不变化，如：deer-deer，sheep-sheep以及集体名词people-people，Chinese-Chinese。

二、the other +复数名词或the other +不可数名词（特定范围中的其他的人或物）
三、any other +单数名词：任何另一个，常用于比较级结构中than之后，意义是表示最高级；
此结构中的than后，也可用the others的。
四、others：别的人或物，泛指（=other+名词复数）
五、another，意思其实就是an other一个另外的，没有特指的。
another book另一本书六、another+基数词（不是量词）+名词复数：表示又、再若干个……
=基数词+more+名词复数(more:又，再，另的意思，不是比较的）

1. another是指另一个，只其他范围中的任何一个。 后面接单数可数名词
This dress is too small, show me another one.
2. the other 其他的。只另外的所有范围。
There are 50 students in our class. 30 of them are girls, the other students are boys.
班上学生除了女生就是男生，所以the other只除去前面提过的所有部分。
重点短语： one... the other
the other + 复数名词=the others. 所以上句可变成the others are boys.
3. other 其余的，其他的。指另外范围内的一部分
There are many people in the park. Some are playing cards, some are walking, other people are flying kites. 公园里面大家进行各种各样的活动，有些打牌，有些走路，其他的放风筝。除了这三类，肯定还有其他的。所以other只其他范围内的一部分。
other +复数名词=others.
所以上句可变成 others are flying kites.
