我也不是很清楚，但是，选择to go 还是有点道理的，表示要去做某事，只是省略了主语Christie而已。而，说是虚拟语气就是因为有as though在。表示过去要做某事，其实并没做。

as though=as if，好象。。。似的，是真不真都可能，如用从句，可以是as though(if) she would go (/were to go) out of teh office（这里无法表现出过去情况的假设，我认为就是一般过去将来时的表达），当从句中有与主句相同的主语且有be动词时，就可以省略主语（she) +be (were), 结果就只剩下 to go ...了。所以as though to go ...= as though she were to go ....(这就表达了虚拟语气，否则用was,)= as though she would go .... (无法表达虚拟语气）。
