其实这题与上一题一回事，don't have to=needn't
这一题根据出题心理学，出题老师的水平，我知道，“最佳”，“正确”答案是mustn't.
但实在不是一道好题目，其它三个都是可能的，依次为：mustn't, man not , can't 和needn't (dodn't have to)。光是这么一句话，并不能让人信服只能选mustn't。楼上的这位老师（回答者： oneinabillion ）说得非常好，还举了例子，借用一下：
You mustn't talk loudly in the reading room--it's the school rule.
You can't talk loudly in the reading room--it's not nice.
You needn't talk loudly in the reading room--it's so quite that i can even hear you whisper.
You may not talk loudly in the reading room--or else I will call security and have you removed.

析：本题考宾语从句中的将来时态与状语从句中将来时态的区别。大家都知道，在时间和条件状语句中，用现在时表示将来，但有的学生甚至老师只简单记作When, if从句中用一般现在时，不用will+ V. 故意设两个陷井。其实这两个when从句都是宾语语从句，该用一般将来时态还得用！
评题：题句意思很不生活化，翻译时很不是味道！见过比这更好的题目。

译：他想道她住院有多久了。
析：考宾语从句的语序、时态一致及完成时延续用法。主过从句，时态一致，排除AD。（D项抄写可能有误，为stays，否则不是好的干扰项。错误太明显，如果是stayed, 则会有争议). 从句主谓语序正常，排除C。
