I am from China, and my hometown is Yanji, the capital of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin province. Yanji is the political, economic and cultural centre of the Prefecture; an open city next to the sea, the river and the border; and one of the three fulcrums of the great "Golden Triangle" in the Tumen River Area. The city covers an area of 1350 square kilometers with a population of 380,000, with 59% being Koreans. There are 192,340 Koreans, which is 2.11% of the population in China. The Koreans is one of the 56 ethnic groups in China, a multi-ethnic country. The Changbai Mountains are in my hometown and the Heaven Lake is located among the Mountains. The water flowing down from a naturally occurring lake atop the Mountains forms a spectacular waterfall. There are also warm springs where you can cook eggs, which taste different from those cooked in normal water, and you have to try them to understand the difference. There are direct flights to this beautiful city of ours. We welcome you all to travel to Yanji and also to China.
