forget doing sth 意思是“忘记（曾经）做过某事”，即事情之前已做过了，但是忘记了而以为没做。例如：

forget to do sth意思是“忘记（要去）做某事”，即事情本该要做，但是忘记了而没有做。

The light in my bedroom is still on, I forgot to turn it off.

我的卧室的灯还亮着，我忘记关灯了。
