亲，因为这是the way做先行词，当先行词是way的时候，后面的定语从句引导词在从句中做状语，可以是以下三种形式：
1、in which
2、that
3、省略
如：
I don't like the way in which you speak to your parents.
= I don't like the way that you speak to your parents.
I don't like the way you speak to your parents.

如果引导词在从句中做主语或宾语，则可以由which或that充当，并且做宾语时可以省略。
如：
Can you show me the way which you used in your new task?
= Can you show me the way that you used in your new task?
= Can you show me the way you used in your new task?

这个句子把关系代词做后面从句的宾语，这里就省略了。
