四、用法不同
fall表示从高处坠落而下，是不及物动词；也可以做连系动词，意为“变得，进入某种状态”。
例如：He fell off the tree and hurt himself. 他从树上摔下来受伤了。
drop表示物体由高处落到低处，此时是不及物动词；让物体落向低处，是及物动词。例如：
He didn't know if he would drop English. 他当时不知道是否该放弃英语。
fall一般是自然下落，不是人为的，多是自然，意外之力。而drop是人做的动作。某数据下降了百分之多少用fall。例如：
Overnight the temperature fell as low as – 5oc. 一夜之间，气温跌落至零下五度。
