我觉得一个phd学位虽花数年时间来完成,而且不一定花了数年时间就可以换来这个phd学位的,这是一个投资, 不是人人都成做得到的, 这不是天生的能力. 而用劳力去攒钱任何一个人都能做到,这是一个天生的能力.所以我认为用智力比起用劳力应该攒得更多钱.

In my opinion, a PhD program takes years to finish but may leads to no degree at the end after spending these years on it. It is not a natural ability we born with, but an investment that not everyone can achieve. On the other hand, anyone could earn a living by doing hard labors, which is an ability every of us was born with. Therefor, I think mental work deserves to be paid better than physical labor.

我修改了个别不符合英语习惯的说法。比如“这是一个投资, 不是人人都成做得到的, 这不是天生的能力.”在英语中最好倒过来说，因为英语习惯的语序是：not ... but... 不是．．．而是...

还有，“不是人人都成做得到的”，语气不够强硬，不符合英语的习惯。英语在正式场合多用确定性的句子，而不用有些模棱两可的说法。换成“只有少数精英通过多年的努力和训练才能做到”

A PhD takes time, but time makes no consequential PhDs.
(这句话明显不对嘛，几年下来，再怎么烂的学生老板都会让你毕业的...汗...)

It is an investment in which not everyone can succeed. Because it is not a gift from the God for this kind of intellegence. But if you had this intellegence, you would earn more than the one hadn‘t. They can only earn by phsical efforts as everyone gets gifted inherently, but you can add bonus using your intellegence.

后面有点意译的。 have a gift for ... 就是天生...能力的意思。 get gifted 就是被（上帝）给礼物，也是天生...能力的意思。

To my believe that finishing a Phd degree needs few year, moreover, it is not guranteed that it can be done in these few year.
This is an investment but not a genius, not everybody can do it. Nevertheless, to earn money by labor is a genius, this can be done by everyone. So I deem that earning money by intelligence is easier than by labor.
