气候特征：
全国干燥少雨，气候干热。埃及南部属热带沙漠气候，夏季气温较高，昼夜温差较大。尼罗河三角洲和北部沿海地区，属亚热带地中海气候，气候相对温和，其余大部地区属热带沙漠气候。
自然资源：
主要资源是石油、天然气、磷酸盐、铁等。已探明的储量为：石油44.5亿桶（2013年1月），天然气2.186万亿立方米（2012年1月），磷酸盐约70亿吨，铁矿6000万吨。
