Notes on Eligibility
Eligibility for the Master's degree at UBC requires a four-year Bachelor's degree with an overall B+ average (usually corresponds to an 85% on most PRC university grading systems).* If applicant is from a NATIONAL KEY UNIVERSITY, the minimum grade requirement is B (=80% on PRC grading scale) or higher. *Effective December 1999.

Supporting Documents Checklist
In addition to the online application form, a complete application file requires:
Two sets of official transcripts from each post-secondary institution you have attended. In order to be considered official by UBC, transcripts must be submitted from the issuing institution in endorsed, sealed envelopes. Please ensure that you carefully read our document submission procedures before you order your transcripts. Visit the Faculty of Graduate Studieswebsite for further clarification.
Three reference letters (submitted in endorsed, sealed envelopes, or through our electronic submission system).
A Letter of Intent. Describe your academic and career goals, and research interests. MF applicants must include in their letter the points described above.
Resume/CV
Test of English Proficiency. Applicants from a university outside Canada in which English is not the primary language of instruction are required to submit official results from one of the following testing labs: TOEFL/IELTS/MELAB (our TOEFL institutional code is 0965, and the department code is 40.) Test scores must have been taken within the last 24 months at the time of submission of your application.
Important Notes:
The GRE is not required for admission to a graduate program in the Faculty of Forestry.
Resume and Letter of Intent are the only documents which will be accepted via email.
