专八英语改错？

He went on to say that all of the time that he spent on line might have skewed his sense of reality, and that it made him feel lonely and depressing.
原句错在depressing, 正确的应该是depressed。
但我想请问这句话为什么要加it?加了不显得多余吗？

it指代前面的all the time that he spent online。it前面的that则跟say that的that一样，引导宾语从句；两个宾语从句并列，用and连接。

所以，it并不是多余的。

这个depressed 用来修饰人，所以用ed形式，意思是令人感到……的。而这个that其实是和第一个that并列的从句，所以后面句子要保持完整，不能把it去掉。

看到了。楼下特温科的解答是对的。你之所以感觉 it 多余是因为你认为 that 是and之后这个分句的主语，但实际上这个that是 ...to say that...and that.. 这个双重宾语从句结构里的，作为标志，不能省略，不可能再担当别的成分。
