In the Han Dynasty, there was a man named Kuang Heng who was diligent and studious. The family is very poor, so he must work during the day and study at night. But they can't afford candles. When it gets dark, they can't read books. At night, his neighbor's house lights candles to make it bright.

Kuang Heng quietly cut a small hole in the wall, and the candle light came through. With this faint light, I began to read books hungrily, and gradually finished reading all the books in my home.

There is a large family nearby with many books. One day, Kuang Heng appeared in front of a large house with his bedding rolled up.

He said to his master, "Please take me in. I'll work for nothing at home without paying. Just let me read all your books. "

The master was moved by his spirit and agreed to his request for borrowing books. Kuang Heng studied hard in this way. Later, he became the prime minister of Han Yuan Emperor and became a famous scholar in the Western Han Dynasty.

Once upon a time, the there was a young man called Kuang Heng. He usually read books at night because he had to work in the day. He didn't have money to buy oil ,so he couldn't read books when it got dark. One night, he saw a little light from his neighbor's room through a gap in the wall. Then he used a knife to make the gap bigger enough to get much more light.
I think we should learn from him and study harder.

This is a well-known story from an ancient Chinese idiom. A boy, being poor, couldn't afford even a candle, so he bored a hole in the wall, through which a weak ray of light from his neighbor's house came in, and he was absorbed in his reading. The moral of the story is: spare no effort to acquire knowledge and never get discouraged easily no matter how difficult the situation may be.
Of course, things are totally different today. It is not the story itself but what is reflected in the story that counts. Hard work pays off. We should take pains to improve ourselves through learning and get prepared for the future.
