many和much的区别：
一、共同点
它们在句中都可作主语、宾语、定语。有时也可作状语，主要用于否定句和
疑问句中。在肯定句中一般用 a lot of，lots of，plenty of。例如：
Do you have many good friends？
Is there much water in the bottle？
There are a lot of people in the hall．
二、不同点
many 用来代替或修饰可数名词，而 much 用来修饰或代替不可数名词。
注意：A many 作主语时，动词用复数；much 作主语，动词用单数。例如：
Many of us know a little English．
Much has been said．
B．much 可用于形容词、副词比较级之前，而 many 不能。
但如果 many 后修饰 more，more 代替或修饰可数名词复数时，前
面只能用 many，而不能用 much。例如：
This classroom is much bigger than that one．
He has many more books than I have．
