I Don't think so 一般是在别人提出观点后就此观点提出自己的意见
我们不同意对方的观点或看法时，经常使用本句。此外，另一常常听到的句子I'm afraid not.（恐怕不是这样。）也具有相近的表达意味，但语气比I don't think so. 更为委婉客气。
