您好，beging to do something 和 begin doing something 是少有几个的 to do something = doing something；也就是（动词不定式短语）和（动名词短语）作 begin 的（宾语）时，是没有区别的。主要是因为 begin 这个单词的意思是“开始……”，而“开始”可以是“开始做某一件事”，也可以是“开始培养某一个习惯”，表示（宾语）既可以是“一次性”的，也可以是“反复性，重复性”的。
但在3种情况下，通常会使用 begin to do something 而不使用 begin doing something，这种属于“习惯性”，而不是“语法性”的：
1）第一种情况，当宾语的“动词”是和“人的思维”挂钩的时，“习惯性”使用 beging to do 而不是 begin doing；比如：
I begin to think about this problem.（不常用 I begin thinking about this problem.）
The police begin to suspect the reason for the killing.（不常用 The police begin suspecting ……）
They begin to wonder whether it is a good choice or not.（不常用 They begin wondering ……）
2）第二种情况，当主语不是人，而是 it 时，习惯性用（it begins to……，而不是 it begins doing ……），比如：
It begins to rain.（不常用 It begins raining.）
The dog begins to run.（不常用 The dog begins running.）
3）第三种情况，当 begin 本身已经是“进行时态”时，通常会改用 begining to do ……，而避免使用 begining doing ……。比如：
I am begining to do my homework.（会避免 I am begining doing my homework.）
It is beginning to rain.（会避免 It is begining raining.）
He was begining to think that he was wrong.（会避免 He was begining thinking that……）
所以 begin to do something 和 begin doing something 在语意上基本是没有区别的，仅仅是习惯性上的区别；这个和比如 try to do 和 try doing 是不太一样的。类似于 begin 的还是有比如 start to do 和 start doing，plan to do 和 plan doing 在语意上也是没有区别的。
