Because 不能单独一个词放在句首，能这样用的含有"因为"意思的单词是therefore.
旧的语法要求,because引领的原因状语从句,不能位于主句之前,但是because of 引领的原因状语可以位于句首.现在的语法没那么规范了,但是,becauese引导的原因状语从句不能位于段首,如果想放在句首也要慎用。
because和because of的意思都是因为，由于。但是在用法上又有不同。
because：后加从句。
比如：She doesn't go to school because she is ill.
她没来上学因为她生病了。
在这句话中
she is ill就是从句。所以because后面就是接从句。
because of：后加代词/名词/动词的ing形式。
用because of来代替后。
就是：She doesn't go to school because of her illness.
同样的一个意思。接连的却不同。
