8.3 Sampling – AHK have significant experience of this commodity and have developed the following
system which will provide accurate sizing/sampling, this system is accepted by the majority of suppliers and warehouses.
8.4 The key is to successfully access and empty sufficient bags to give access to the materials and to
determine the overall physical sizing most particularly the undersize portions. We have found it
acceptable to sample 20% of the bags when dealing with reliable suppliers PLUS empty the
following number of bags and of course sample these also:-
<100mt : 10% bags
1-300mt : 10 bags
3-600mt : 12 bags
The emptied bags are completely screened on site – assisting in representative – particularly
undersize sampling by size range. Unused sample is returned to bags and sampled bags are
marked. NB Where we note unusual appearance of material between emptied bags suggesting
perhaps a blend – then we will go on where practical to empty more bags.

- The price is for the specific client only, not apply to any other third-parties.
- Fees including 1 original and 1 copy of certificate, otherwise will charge USD 50 per extra set
- Not included any courier fees arising which will be charged at cost
- Fees does not include any warehouse / labors charges and any courier fees arising which will be
charged at cost
- Fees for supervision of weighing by truck scale and loading is based on sampling was also
performed by AHK, otherwise will re-quote.
- We expect labourers and facilities to be available. Warehouse will be needed to lift the bags- and
occasionally replace damaged bags.
- If a scale to be used it is recommended that standard weights to be made available
- AHK will have to add CCIC/CIQ fee on top if client request joint sampling with local CCIC/CIQ.
- Where materials per parcel are stored in more than two warehouses eg 1500mt in two or three
warehouses – we would charge the fees for the extra warehouse based on tonnage.
